Arusha National Park

Arusha National Park

Nestled at the foot of Mount Meru, Arusha National Park is a gentle wilderness of forests, crater lakes, and alpine meadows a peaceful, scenic escape right on the edge of Arusha town. Though modest in size, it's one of Tanzania's most diverse landscapes, where rainforest melts into open grassland, colobus monkeys call from fig trees, and mist drifts around the emerald slopes of Meru. With its serene atmosphere and variety of experiences, the park offers a refreshing contrast to the vast savannahs beyond.

What Makes It Special

Primates – Blue monkeys play in the trees, while the rare black‑and‑white colobus swings elegantly through the canopy a true park signature.

Predators – Leopards occur but are shy, and there are no lions, making walking excursions safe and relaxed.
